Re-configuring Space - Art in General
New York NY

PROJECT

First a proposal, then a full scale installation, our endeavor suggests a pathway of shelving to meander within the existing space providing both storage and privacy and forming the gallery volumes.

The galleries are bright, scale-less white boxes with art on the floor, walls and hanging from the ceiling.  The office space is positioned adjacent to exterior windows to receive natural light.  Work areas are active, always in use to support the gallery, both figuratively and literally.

Views into the busy work areas are seen when passing between gallery spaces.  A shelving grid supporting clean high gallery walls delineates the division between the office and the gallery.
